Box Score The Mary Baldwin baseball team posted its first win in 13 tries over four years against Methodist University and recorded its first shutout victory in four seasons of USA South Athletic Conference play Friday with a 6-0 decision in Fayetteville, N.C.

Tucker Hensley added another with a home run in the eighth to finish the margin of victory.
Hensley, Matt Charles and
Cody Hoffer combined for a five-hit shutout, allowing just two walks while fanning five. Hensley went the first six innings to get the win (2-3) for the Fighting Squirrels, who snapped a seven-game slide.
MBU (5-14, 2-5 USA South) and Methodist (12-12, 4-3 USA South) complete the three-game series with a doubleheader Saturday starting at noon.
