Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Mary Baldwin managed just seven hits in its USA South baseball twinbill at North Carolina Wesleyan Saturday, dropping scores of 16-1 and 12-0.

In the opener, Landon Lightner scored what proved to be MBU's only run of the day on a wild pitch in the second inning, giving the visitors a 1-0 lead.  Lightner had two of MBU's five hits in the game.  NC Wesleyan then scored 16 run on 13 hits, 10 walks and three MBU errors to pull away for the win.

In the nightcap, NC Wesleyan collected 10 hits, five walks and took advantage of four MBU errors on the way to the shutout.  Noah Kessler, who had one hit in the first game, and Michael Muller provided MBU's second-game offense, each getting one hit.  Kessler also had two walks in the doubleheader to reach base safely four times on the day.

Sunday's scheduled single game against the Battling Bishops has been pushed back to Monday because of the expected rain in Eastern North Carolina.
