Mary Baldwin Track and Field traveled to Lexington, Virginia on Friday to compete in the VMI Invitational.
Sophomore
Tajee Groomes opened the day for the Squirrels in the men's 60-meter hurdles, posting a time of 10.71 seconds. Groomes later returned to the track to compete in the men's 400 meters, finishing 27th overall with a time of 58.26.
Joining Groomes in the 400 was sophomore
Tucker Shifflett, who turned in a strong performance, placing 22nd with a time of 53.92. Shifflett also competed in the men's 60-meter dash preliminaries, crossing the finish line in 7.24 seconds.
On the field side, sophomore
Kadin Pittman delivered a top-10 finish in the men's high jump, clearing 1.70 meters (5 feet, 7 inches).
Mary Baldwin's lone women's competitor, sophomore
Jasmine Louis, represented the Squirrels in the women's 400 meters, finishing with a time of 1:26.33.
Mary Baldwin will return to Lexington, Virginia for the VMI Winter Classic on Friday, February 14
