In the nightcap, the visitors again took an early lead scoring 3 runs in the first three innings while again holding the Fighting Squirrels scoreless.  MBC finally got on the board in the 4th, when Jonquil Brown crossed home plate off of a single from Lindsey Shifflett.  That proved to be the only run allowed by the Angels as they went on to win 4-1 in seven innings.

Meredith improves their record to 12-9 while Mary Baldwin's record drops to 2-28.

Wednesday proved to be a very different day for Mary Baldwin as they took the early lead against The University of Maine-Presque Isle.

After the Owls scored one run in the top of the first, MBC quickly took the lead in the bottom of the 1st inning.  Virginia Griffin started the home team off with a double to left field.  After Sara Seekins was hit by a pitch, Olivia Compton singled up the middle scoring Griffin.  Janie Brothers flied out and Sarah Seekins was also out on the play when she was caught off of the base.  Jonquil Brown then stepped up hitting a home run bringing Compton across home plate.  MBC's final run came when Nicole Wenthe walked with the bases loaded bringing Jessica Hogle home.

The UMPI added another run in the second inning while the home team built their lead to 6-2.  Janie Brothers doubled to center field scoring Seekins.  Jessica Hogle then singled to the short stop bringing Brothers home.

The visitors were held scoreless for the remainder of the game.  Mary Baldwin added two more runs.  The first came in the bottom of the 4th inning when Janie Brothers scored while Rebecca Parramore was being thrown out at first on a Fielder's Choice.  Then Sarah Seekins added Mary Baldwin's final run in the 5th inning off of a single by Brother's down the right field line.

Mary Baldwin won 9-3 in 7 innings improving their record to 3-30.

It only took MBC 5 innings to take their fourth win of the season as they easily defeated The University of Maine - Presque Isle 9-1.
