ROCKY MOUNT, NC - MBC softball lost two games this afternoon at NC Wesleyan College dropping their record to 5-15 (0-9 USA South).

Senior Courtney Clausi and Freshman Jonquil Brown both went 2 for 3 in Game 1.  Clausi scored MBC's only run in the top of the 3rd inning.  After she doubled to left field, Brown doubled to bring her home.

Wesleyan scored three runs in the first inning and rolled to the 10-1 victory.

In Game 2, Baldwin struck first when Courtney Clausi hit a home run in the top of the first inning. MBC held the lead through the 2nd and 3rd innings.

Then, in the bottom of the 4th inning, the Bishops scored 8 runs and added one more in the 6th to take the second game 9-1.  

MBC is scheduled to play the second game of their double-header that was rained out with Averett University on Sunday weather permitting.
