NEWPORT NEWS, VA - Christopher Newport defeated Mary Baldwin Tuesday afternoon in a USA South doubleheader to stay at the top of the conference standings.

CNU Junior starting pitchers did their jobs holding Mary Baldwin scoreless and winning both games by a score of 8-0 in five innings.

Christopher Newport University improves their record to 26-6 overall and 12-2 in the USA South.  Mary Baldwin is now 5-25 overall and 0-16 in the league.

The Fighting Squirrels travel to Southern VA on Thursday for a non-conference doubleheader before finishing the week away on Friday.
