Harrisonburg, VA - Eastern Mennonite University defeated Mary Baldwin College 0-8 in 5 innings in both ends of the double header today in a non-conference matchup.

In the first game, the Royals jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the 1st inning then added five runs in the 2nd inning when Alslinn Lucas and Angela Miller homered tallying all five runs.  EMU added one final run in the 3rd inning to earn the 8-0 win.

For Mary Baldwin, Sarah Seekins went 2 for 3 while Janie Brothers and Kate Dickinson each hit a double. 

In the second game, the home team got on the board in the 2nd inning scoring two runs.  The Royals added five additional runs in the 3rd inning then added one final run to earn the second 8-0 win in five innings.

Alexa Sheets tallied a double and a home run while Lucas added her second home run of the day. 

Kayla Wheeler and Janie Brothers each went 1 for 2 for Mary Baldwin.

Mary Baldwin College (6-16) continue non-conference play on Tuesday when they host Southern VA.
