STAUNTON, VA - The Mary Baldwin College softball team hosted Randolph College this afternoon in their final home double header of the season. 

Randolph jumped out quickly to a 5-0 lead after the first inning and tallied two additional runs in the top of the second inning.  Mary Baldwin answered in the bottom of the second inning when Alli Bascunan doubled down the left field line driving home Janie Brothers.

Randolph added one run in both the top of the third and fifth innings to lead 9-1. 

In the bottom of the fifth inning, Chrissy Cromer started Mary Baldwin off with a double to center field.  Sarah Seekins followed with a single to left field.  With two on, Kayla Wheeler doubled down the left field line.  Wheeler then crossed home plate to give Mary Baldwin 3 runs in the inning. 

Randolph added two more runs in the top of the seventh inning. 

In the bottom of the final inning, Morgan Tully, Janie Brothers and Alli Bascunan all tallied singles while Kayla Wheeler added a double to give Mary Baldwin three additional runs but the home team fell short losing the game 7-11 in the non-conference matchup.

Randolph also took the second game 8-0 in five innings to complete the sweep.

Mary Baldwin Collge 10-26 (0-16 USAS) continue play this weekend on the road in North Carolina.
