Box Score 2 STAUNTON, Va. - Mary Baldwin faced Pfeiffer Saturday afternoon and lost the first game 13-2 and the second 6-0.
In the first game, Mary Baldwin could not find its stride as the Squirrels gave up 10 runs in four innings. At the same time, the Falcons' pitching kept the Squirrels to just two hits for the first 4 innings. In the fifth inning a leadoff walk and stolen base by Leanna Rankin was followed by an Olivia Gagne single. Gagne and Rankin pulled off a double steal with Rankin scoring MBU's first run. Allison Crum grounded out to move Gagne to third before Gagne scored on a wild pitch.
The second game was similar to the first as Falcons' pitcher Kali Morton kept the Squirrels off the scoreboard as the Squirrels tallied kust three hits. For MBU pitcher Molly Thompson put in a valiant effort as she pitched a complete game, allowing only two 2 earned runs.
