Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 On Saturday Mary Baldwin softball competed in day two of the Triangle Softball classic, splitting their games, losing the first game to Virginia Wesleyan University 8-0, then later beating NYU 8-7.
 
Game 1

The Fighting Squirrels and the Marlins would be locked in a 0-0 tie through two innings before VWU broke the tie with a run in the third inning.

The Marlins pitches kept Mary Baldwin's offense at bay allowing only three hits on the day including four strikeouts while only walking one.

The bottom of the fifth inning would prove to be the separator as the Marlins scored seven runs.

Mary Baldwin's pitchers struggled to find the strike zone walking 10 batters.
 
Game 2

Mary Baldwin would bounce back in the second game of the day against NYU winning 8-7.
